“I hired CommonGround because I wanted to create an outdoor sanctuary on our property using native grasses, wildflowers, exotic aloes, and drought tolerant succulents. The biggest challenge was the extreme slope of the land. I wanted to ascend a 300-step nature trail every morning and have my daily yoga and meditation practice at the Pergola which was built at the highest point. We re-purposed the branches of the trees we had to clear to use them as a handrail for our guests. This is just one great example of utilizing local materials and being sustainable.

With CommonGround, I was able to actualize my dream and I enjoy it daily. They shared their knowledge and expertise and made the experience a profound education in the microclimate of Montecito, an awareness of conservation, and a labor of love, for which I am very grateful.
